How to clean a Tiffany necklace?

Hey guys, I got a Tiffany necklace for Christmas and I just wanted to know how to clean it. I’ve heard to use toothpaste, but I’m really skeptical about it, because I don’t want to ruin it. Should I just take it to a local jeweler’s and have it cleaned? About how much would that cost? Any other ideas? Thanks

Gold jewelry: Soak 15 minutes in two cups warm water with a couple of drops of mild dish-washing liquid. Scrub gently with soft-bristled toothbrush. Rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.

Diamond jewelry: Soak 20 minutes in one cup warm water and 1/4 cup of ammonia. Scrub gently with soft-bristled toothbrush. Rinse with warm water and place on tissue to dry.

Silver jewelry: Rinse in warm water and pat dry. If tarnished: use silver-polishing cloth or silver-cleaning fluid. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.

If found a emerald and gold necklace on the streets, what should I do?

seriously, should i give it to the police, take it to a pawn shop, or keep it and give it to someone else. I highly doubt they’ll find the person who lost it, the streets of NYC are so big. idk what to do with it, only nick and me know, if I tell my parents they’ll take it away. don’t take it to a pawn shop, they will give you hardly anything for that thing.
it could be an old woman who has had that all her life so just hand it in, that could be really valuble to someone- not for the quality side of things but how she got it, that might be the only thing that is worth something in her life or the only memory she has. My grandmother has one like that and her farther gave her it before he died during the war and i’m sure if she lost that she would be heart broken.
and think of the credit you will get for handing that thing in, out of all the things you do in your life you’ll know for sure you have done something amazing.
